Police hunt man who approached boys in Erdington park

Man wanted in connection with incident in Erdington parkPOLICE have released a photograph of a man who allegedly approached two 12-year-old boys in a Birmingham park and asked them inappropriate questions.





The boys told police they were approached by the man on Bleak Hill Recreation Ground, on Streetly Road, Erdington, at about 7.30pm on August 6.
One of the boys, concerned by the nature of the conversation, discreetly took the man’s photograph on his mobile phone.

Detective Sergeant Neil Kirkpatrick, from Castle Vale Public Protection Unit, said: “The boys were playing on the park when they were approached by this man who allegedly engaged them in an inappropriate conversation.

“We would like to reassure the public that we believe this was an isolated incident and the boys were physically unharmed.”

The man is not being linked to any other suspicious incidents.
