A VICE chairman has called for an investigation after a mosque’s bank details were accidentally published in a council agenda.
Balal Shah, who sits on the Queens Park Urban Community Council (QPUCC), called for the probe as the private information of the mosque in Westbourne Road, Queens Park, Bedford was distributed for to the public.
The sensitive financial information, a photo copy of a bank statement, included the amount withdrawn, paid in and left in the account as well as the address, account number and sort code of the account holder.
It had been published on behalf of the QPUCC by Bedford Borough Council, which has admitted the error and apologised.
