Leicester sex assault inquiry police make more arrests

A further two people have been arrested as part of an investigation in to the alleged sexual exploitation of 16-year-old girl in Leicester.

A 37-year-old man and a 17-year-old were detained by officers from Leicestershire Police.

Five men have already been charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of the teenage girl and are due to appear in court on 8 February.

The men aged 20, 22, 25, 27 and 39 are accused of a total of 21 offences.

A 15-year-old youth, who was also arrested, has been released on police bail while further enquiries are carried out.
