Most French see Islam as too influential in society:

An increasing majority of people in France believe Islam plays too influential a role in their society and almost half see Muslims as a threat to their national identity, according to a poll published yesterday.

The survey by pollster Ifop in Le Figaro newspaper showed that 60 per cent of people believed that Islam was "too important" in France in terms of its influence and visibility, up from 55 per cent two years ago.

It found that 43 per cent of respondents considered the presence of the Muslim community as a threat to their national identity, compared with just 17 per cent who said it enriched society. Forty per cent of those questioned were indifferent to the presence of Islam, Le Figaro said.

"Our poll shows a further hardening in French people's opinions," Jerome Fourquet, head of Ifop's opinion department, told the newspaper.

The struggle of secular France, whose people are mainly Catholic, to assimilate the largest Muslim population in Europe was thrust into the spotlight in March when Muslim Mohamed Merah, went on a shooting spree in south-west France that killed three Jewish children, a rabbi and three soldiers.

"In recent years, there has not been a week when Islam has not been in the heart of the news for social reasons: the veil, halal food, for dramatic news like terrorist attacks or geopolitical reasons," Fourquet said.
The prevalence of halal food and rising immigration - particularly from north Africa - were hot topics in the campaign for the presidential election as Nicolas Sarkozy sought to appeal to voters of the far-right National Front.

Sarkozy eventually lost to Socialist Francois Hollande but a contender to lead his conservative UMP party, Jean Francois Cope, put Islam back on the agenda this month by suggesting Muslim youths were tearing pain au chocolat pastries from children's hands during Islam's fasting month of Ramadan.

The publication of the poll also came after a far-right group occupied a mosque in the western city of Poitiers at the weekend and issued a "declaration of war" against what it called the Islamisation of France.

Mohammed Moussaoui, president of the French Muslim Council (CFCM), said fear of Islam was being stoked by political manipulation of concern over immigration and fears the growing Muslim population could lead to the imposition of sharia law.

"Islam has left the spiritual sphere to become a political subject," he said, in response to the poll. "Attempts to associate marginal practices with mainstream Muslim religion fuels the rejection of every aspect of Islam."
The survey, carried out on Oct. 15-18 on 1,736 people, showed a growing resistance to the symbols of the Islamic faith. About 43 per cent of those questioned were opposed to more mosque building, up from 39 per cent in 2010.

Sixty-three per cent opposed Muslim women wearing the veil or headscarves in public, compared with 59 per cent two years ago. Sarkozy's previous conservative banned the wearing of full-face veils.

There were reports that her left breast was bitten and that the entire left nipple was bitten off.

The name of another Western female journalist who's been sexually attacked in Cairo's historic Tahrir Square has just been added to the ever growing list of shame.

The litany of assaults range from being raped by dogs, to being publically stripped naked to the delight of the attackers, to being anally raped as well as being urinated and masturbated upon.

The Latest...

Though details are sparse, the French news agency France 24 is reporting that one of their journalists, Sonia Dridi was;

    "sexually assaulted by a crowd of men while reporting on a demonstration at Cairo's Tahrir Square."

As the specifics slowly are given to the public, France 24 has released that Dridi had just completed;

    "a live news report at around 10:30pm on Friday when a crowd of men teemed around her, shoving and grabbing at her body."

Earlier Last Year...

During January of last year, France 24 also reported that two other Western reporters covering the massive demonstrations at Tahrir Square were raped.

One by dogs, the other by men.

Egyptian-American freelance journalist Mona Eltahawy stated she was detained by Cairo police after being an active participant in one of the many Tahrir demonstrations.

Eltahawy stated;

    "5 or 6 surrounded me, groped and prodded my breasts, grabbed my genital area and I lost count how many hands tried to get into my trousers."

But the worse was yet to come for the New York based reporter;

    "Besides beating me, the dogs of (central security forces) subjected me to the worst sexual assault ever."

In the same article, it was reported that Frenchwoman Caroline Sinz of the public television channel France 3, stated that while covering the protests, she was;

    "Violently beaten and sexually assaulted while covering the protests.

    We were filming in Mohammed Mahmud street when we were mobbed by young people who were about 14 or 15."

Sinz also stated;

    "'We were then assaulted by a crowd of men.

    I was beaten by a group of youngsters and adults who tore my clothes' and then molested her in a way that 'would be considered rape.'"

British journalist Natasha Smith was also violently assaulted in June, 2012, while covering the Arab Spring uprisings.

As Smith posted on her public weblog;

    "Men began to rip off my clothes.

    I was stripped naked.

    Their insatiable appetite to hurt me heightened.

    These men, hundreds of them, had turned from humans to animals."

Smith went on to write:

    "Hundreds of men pulled my limbs apart and threw me around.

    They were scratching and clenching my breasts and forcing their fingers inside me in every possible way.

    So many men.

    All I could see was leering faces, more and more faces sneering and jeering as I was tossed around like fresh meat among starving lions."

Prior to being disguised in men's clothing and ultimately covered by a burqa, Smith tells of her own personal "Come to Jesus" moment:

    "At this point, I said aloud to myself, calmly, over and over, 'please God.

    Please make it stop.

    Please God.

    Please make it stop.'"

The episode most familiar to Americans was the attack on Lara Logan of CBS News.

In an academic paper for the University of California at Los Angeles, Dr. Dawn Perlmutter, Director of the Institute for the Research of Organized and Ritual Violence wrote of the attack last Spring on Logan;

    "YouTube and some Arab websites reported that at least six men raped her vaginally, and a number of men raped her anally.

    She was also masturbated and urinated on.

    There were reports that her left breast was bitten and that the entire left nipple was bitten off."

FRANCE NOT DONE COMMITTING CULTURAL SUICIDE, INTERIOR MINISTER TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE EASY TO GAIN CITIZENSHIP……..

The thing is, France will no longer be ”French”

France has thrown itself so down the sewer, that it’s hard to believe that there is anyway back for them to claw back. Culture, social cohesion, and economic development has been under assault by the cultural Marxists ever since their multiculturalism experiment was forcibly introduced into Europe.

France’s Interior Minister Manuel Valls (photo) announced on Thursday that the government will make it easier for foreigners to become French citizens. Valls argued, “French nationality should not be sold-off or reserved for the elite.”

France is to take steps to make it easier for foreign citizens living in the country to gain French nationality, Interior Minister Manuel Valls announced on Thursday.

As one of a number of measures aimed at increasing the number of naturalised French citizens, the Socialist government is to scrap plans to make would-be citizens pass a multiple-choice history and culture test.
“You don’t become French by answering multiple choice questions,” said Valls, who is a naturalised French citizen of Spanish origin.

The controversial multiple-choice test was the brainchild of the previous right-wing government and was designed to help tackle the problem of some immigrants failing to adapt to French life. The exam would have been introduced in July this year if former president Nicolas Sarkozy had been re-elected.

But the interior minister’s decision on Thursday means it will never see the light of day.

Employment equals citizenship?

France: Muslim Tae-Kwon-Do Champions Forced Underage Girls into Prostitution

Three practitioners of tae-kwon-do, boarders at the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance (Insep), are among seven people being questioned this week in relation to a vast affair involving the pimping of minors in the Rhône-Alpes region, according to the police.

Those involved are Amine Manai, European under-21 champion in 2010 and French champion below 68 kg, who was jailed, his brother Adam Manai, 3rd in the European Junior Championship in 2009, and Moussa Cissé, vice-champion of Europe below 58 kg, it has been learned from a source close to the investigation.

The suspects are accused of having forced into work young girls, aged from 14 to 17, and placed them in a hostel in Saint-Egrève (Isère), near Grenoble.

The incidents took place mainly in Isère, Savoie and in Haute-Savoie.

Two Priests Assaulted

La Provence, the local paper of southern France, reports on a sadistic crime against two priests. This is a condensed version of the report:

Two priests were assaulted on Wednesday evening in a villa in Aubagne by two armed and masked criminals, who tortured and terrorized them, convinced that they were hiding gold bars somewhere in the house.

The burglars, certain they had found a goldmine, terrorized the men for two hours, but the priests could not reveal the location of a treasure that only existed in the minds of the criminals.

They had broken in at about 9:00 p.m. while the priest, 64, and his apprentice, 31, were in the salon. After breaking down the entry door, the two criminals were face to face with the two terrified priests, who looked down the barrel of a rifle. "Give us the gold!" they shouted, but in reply there were only timid denials.

So they forced the owner, who did not have the key, to lead them to the safe. Convinced the loot was inside, one of the hold-up men cut through the door with an electric saw. But the safe was empty. This made them angrier, and one grabbed a paper cutter and threatened the priest one last time. Since there was no response, he planted his weapon inside the ear of the victim and cut several centimeters of his flesh.

This mutilation not being sufficient, he grabbed his finger and inflicted another wound, threatening to amputate. The priest repeated that he had nothing. Out of spite, the assailants bound the two, locked them up in a room and fled, empty-handed.

Terrorized, the priests tried to get free. Finally, the younger man broke loose, and alerted a neighbor who called the police. They found the two priests in a state of shock, and took them to the ER.

It seems that during a court proceeding in 2002 involving the priest's family, the presence of these gold bars had been revealed. The hold-up men must have known this information.

Somehow, this does not sound like immigrant crime. But it could be. The article indicates that the older man suffered physical and moral injuries, and his condition was listed as serious. The city of Aubagne, not far from Marseille, where this crime took place, is the birthplace of Marcel Pagnol, author of Marius, Fanny and César, the Marseille Trilogy. The current mayor of Aubagne is a Communist. Let's hope he cares enough to do his job impartially.

Marine Le Pen: 'Integration is the Anglo-Saxon system adopted in Great Britain'

I'm not sure this is Marine at her best. She is certainly forceful enough on economic matters, but she seems much too accommodating towards Muslims, and too eager to point out that there have never been any problems in Hénin-Beaumont. She may be right in praising the good relations between Muslim and French residents, but the fact that there are so many Muslims in France is a major problem even when they are well-behaved. It is possible that she toned down her rhetoric for The Guardian. Her best moment is when she claims the woman with the headscarf lied. I don't know if the woman lied, but I did not like the sight of her with her smug husband eating snack food. Are they Socialists pretending to be converts?
