Bulgarian Radical Islam Trial Continues amid Renewed Protests

The trial against 13 Bulgarian Muslim religious leaders for preaching radical Islam continues Wednesday at the Pazardzhik District Court.



The Wednesday hearing is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. and is expected to be accompanied by a protest rally scheduled by nationalist party VMRO-BND.

The demonstration is to start at 8:30 in front of the Pazardzhik Municipality and end opposite the Courthouse in the southern Bulgarian city.

The rally protests the alleged pressure exercised by men in black robes and burqa-clad women standing outside the court.

The demonstration expects support from a number of other nationalist organizations.

Local police plan to implement enhanced security measures and seal off the area, according to reports of the Interior Ministry, as cited by Darik radio.

The previous court hearing in end-October was accompanied by a rally attended by over 500 people, who demanded that the court be provided a pressure-free environment.

Parallel protests were staged by marginal nationalist parties Ataka and National Front for Salvation of Bulgaria.

All court hearings of the trial have been accompanied by silent demonstrations of Muslims, except for the last one, when the Muslim protesters dispersed due to the counter-protest.

During Wednesday's court hearing, three confidential witnesses codenamed 002, 004, and 005, will testify.

The Pazardzhik-based court has already examined 28 non-confidential witnesses and one protected witness.

The trial against the 13 members of the Al Waqf-Al Islami organization's local branch was launched on September 18.

The suspects have been charged with preaching an undemocratic ideology and seeking to impose Sharia law, with leading and participating in an unregistered religious entity preaching an undemocratic ideology and with preaching religious intolerance.

According to the indictment, the defendants built their belief systems in line with elements of Salafism, which they presented in Bulgaria in a radical version in the period March 2008 – October 6, 2010.

All suspects have pleaded not guilty.

Few would shed tears if Britain barred Anjem Choudary from returning

Britain’s best known Islamist, Anjem Choudary, is planning to hold a conference in Pakistan on Friday where, among other things, he will issue a fatwa on Malala Yousafzai. She is the schoolgirl from Pakistan’s Taliban-controlled tribal areas who was shot in the head for defying the terrorist group by demanding an education. Yousafzai survived the attempted assassination and was later flow to Birmingham for specialist medical treatment (the bill is being picked up by the Pakistani government).



Choudary plans to hold his conference – ‘Shariah for Pakistan’ – at the Red Mosque in Islamabad which was the scene of a notorious standoff in 2007. Radical students of the mosque had begun imposing vigilante justice in surrounding neighbourhoods: harassing women, kidnapping foreigners, and burning down music stores. The government was forced to confront it in a standoff that became a Pakistani version of the Waco siege.

Remarkably, even the ultra-conservative authorities of the mosque have now sought to distance themselves from Choudary. A spokesman told Pakistan’s The News:

    The whole mosque administration condemns the inflammatory statements used by this group, clearly seeking publicity. We are not aware of any conference in the mosque on 30th November and it’s for the government of Pakistan to take action [against] anyone who enters Pakistan.

The mosque’s leader also described Choudary’s views as ‘wrong’ and argued ‘people like him create problems for Muslims in Europe and Pakistan.’ Along with the fatwa on Malala Yousafzai, Choudary also wants to issue a fatwa on the current President, Asif Zardari, and intends to brand Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the country’s founder, a ‘traitor of Islam.’

There are calls to ban Choudary from entering the country. A columnist for the Express Tribune, Vaqas Asghar, expressed his exasperation at the way Choudary has been able to live off benefits for years while spouting his bilious views. ‘To thank the British government for putting a roof over the heads of his six-member family,’ Asghar writes:

    He routinely makes controversial statements such as demanding the burka be made compulsory for all British women, Muslim or not, and has proclaimed himself the head of Britain’s ‘Shariah Court’ …More worryingly though, Mr Choudary has referred to the 9/11 hijackers as “magnificent martyrs”, he has refused to condemn numerous terrorist acts and has said non-Muslims cannot be considered innocents in the context of being victims of terrorism.

British authorities have consistently warned of the threat extremists in Pakistan pose to the security of our country. Two of the 7/7 bombers trained there, and scores of thwarted plots are also known to have originated in the country’s tribal areas. But, Pakistani authorities have also long complained of the converse – British Muslims contributing to the destabilisation of their country. Choudary’s conference demonstrates the veracity of that belief.

Asghar notes that Choudary chose ‘to live in a “pagan” land, abuse its trust and defy its laws…[because he] knows there will be no consequences.’ He couldn’t be more right. When Omar Bakri left Britain shortly after 7/7 after abusing our hospitality for years he was barred from returning and was briefly arrested by the Lebanese authorities. I suspect few would shed any tears if Choudary and his cohorts were to share the same fate as their spiritual leader.

Norway judges free Islamic extremist

The Supreme Court rules there is no reason to hold Arslan Ubaydullah Maroof Hussain in continued custody despite still standing indictments.

Mr Hussain was arrested at the end of last month initially for statements on his Facebook group that left Oslo’s Jewish community feeling threatened.

His remarks resulted in Ola Elvestuen, Oslo city councillor for the Liberal Party (V), calling for talks with police over security at the synagogue.

Police subsequently posted guards outside the Israeli Embassy and the Jewish pre-school near the synagogue just over one week ago in connection with events in the Middle East.

27-year-old Mr Hussain, of Pakistani origin, has been held on remand for four weeks total. He is also indicted for issuing threats against two journalists, as well as threatening an expert witness during trial proceedings.

Today’s verdict quashes Borgarting Court of Appeal’s continued custody ruling. Court of Appeal judges will now have to hear Arslan Ubaydullah Maroof Hussain’s case anew.

However, police have asked for Mr Hussain to remain in custody until this has been effecuated.

London university to host anti-gay extremist Islamic preacher

Brunel University in Uxbridge, west London, has been criticised for allowing a cleric who supports the killing of gay people to attend a student event.

Abu Usamah at-Thahabi is due to make a speech on campus at Brunel’s Islamic Society on Tuesday 27 November.

His extreme views have already been documented in a Channel 4 programme and by the Centre for Social Cohesion.

Thahabi previously urged that gay people should be punished with death.

PLANS for a super mosque close to the Olympic stadium reveal that it could hold almost 10,000 people.

Architects’ drawings show that the vast mosque will be about the same size as Battersea Power Station.

By comparison, Britain’s largest cathedral, in Liverpool, can hold 3,000 worshippers.

Newham Council in east London is due to decide whether it will grant planning permission for the structure next month.

Former councillor Alan Craig has launched a campaign to stop the project. He has produced 100,000 leaflets, which were being distributed throughout the borough yesterday. Mr Craig said: “The mega-mosque is proposed and planned by a particularly disturbing Islamic sect called Tablighi Jamaat.”

He said that Tablighi Jamaat had been promoting itself as open and socially integrated. However, progressive Muslims who support the campaign against the mosque view its beliefs as “narrow and divisive”. He said: “In my view we would be mad, barking mad, if we let the project go ahead.”

Efforts by the Sunday Express to seek the views of those behind the project, known as the Riverine Centre, were unsuccessful.

The architects responsible for the plans are quoted as saying: “The ambition is to create an exceptional piece of architecture of national significance.

“A building that provides a destination not only for the Islamic community, but for the whole of Newham and beyond.”

A website set up to promote the mega-mosque says: “The community acquired this site in November 1996.

“In the first week, over 1,000 worshippers attended. The centre now attracts 2,500 worshippers on a weekly basis . The community has grown and now requires the redevelopment of its centre to cater for its requirements.”

George Galloway: 'Respect will target votes from black and Muslim people in Croydon North'

GEORGE Galloway has been accused of trying to ignite racial tension after declaring his Respect party would "target" black and Muslim voters during the Croydon North by-election.

The controversial MP picked out both groups as he announced black activist Lee Jasper, former policy adviser to Ken Livingstone, as the party's candidate.

During a video posted online, which begins with Martin Luther King's famous "I have a dream" speech, Mr Galloway claimed a Respect victory in Croydon North would surpass his shock victory in Bradford West in March.

Respect won that by-election, overturning a similarly strong Labour majority, by capitalising on racial tensions among highly segregated communities.

He claimed Respect could repeat that victory because Croydon North is "exactly the kind of constituency we have to compete in".

"We are going to be targeting black voters, victims of discrimination and unfair and unjust treatment by the Met," he said.

"Twenty-four per cent of the constituents are black. Black people disproportionately support us because they have been let down by the main parties.

"We will be targeting the 10,000 Muslim voters on the issues which matter greatly to them, most important of which is the ceaseless bombardment from the ruling class and the media to try and poison the British public against Muslims and Islam."

While admitting it would be "catastrophic" for the party to focus on just two communities, Mr Jasper told the Advertiser that Respect would focus on "institutional racism" against black and ethnic minority groups in Croydon.

Race campaigners and community leaders condemned Mr Galloway's comments as divisive. Pastor Clement Okusi, of Potters House Church in Thornton Heath, said: "I watched the video and to be honest I struggled to the end as I found it quite painful. Galloway appears to be reading a very badly written script and Jasper does himself no favours with his confrontational rhetoric.

"With regards to him targeting blacks and Muslims, he immediately alienates others and sets himself up as a divisive figure. I don't think they will have much success."

In the video, entitled the Coming Battle For Croydon and posted on YouTube on Sunday, Mr Galloway said: "I don't think anyone watching this needs any lessons in how I have the ability to address a Muslim audience, do you?

"Trust me, I will be daily addressing the Muslim voters in Croydon and I will be asking them for their support. Our candidate will be particularly effective among black voters, although he has quite a reach among white voters too."

Mr Jasper said: "I think racism is a big issue in London and Croydon doesn't escape from that.
"There is racism in employment in terms of the opportunities which aren't afforded to young black and Asian boys.

"The local authority has slashed funding to voluntary groups used predominantly by ethnic minorities and I can sense discrimination in the way these decisions were made.

"But our campaign will not be divisive. It will unify the community and point out what they have in common rather than their differences."

Thornton Heath councillor Louisa Woodley, one of five names on Labour's shortlist for the by-election, said: "Galloway talking about getting the Muslim vote and helping Lee Jasper to get the black vote gives the impression this isn't a cohesive community, that it's in sections. That's not the reality."

Faz Hakim, another shortlisted candidate and once named one of the most influential Muslim women in the UK, said: "Croydon North is not the same as Bradford West. Bradford was open to prejudice and being taken advantage of.

"I have known Lee Jasper for 20 years. The world has changed in that time but he hasn't.

"It's completely irresponsible to be encouraging division at a time when we should be joining together."

The Croydon North by-election, called after the death of Malcolm Wicks in September, is on November 29.

West Ham residents reveal mega-mosque plan fears

Prospective neighbours of a large mosque planned for West Ham have told of their concerns surrounding the controversial development.

Residents living close to the site in Canning Road believe it would completely dwarf the surrounding conservation areas and fail to serve a mixed community if given the go-ahead.

They say no proper public consultation has been held to reflect the current plans, which they say serve almost exclusively one Islamic group -Tabilighi Jamaat - rather than the whole community.

Mike Duff, a 33-year-old director of an urban planning consultancy, is among the residents who have put their objections to the council and mosque backers.

He said: “I worked for six years in Saudi Arabia and helped At-Turaif, the village where Wahab Islam, the strictest interpretation of Islam globally, was founded to achieve Unesco World Heritage Status, so being anti-Muslim is the furthest thing from my mind. I understand where they are coming from with regard to practising their religion.

“But the scale of this mosque is completely unsuitable for this location, I would feel the same if it was a church of that size.

“The building would dominate the view from the Greenway and all the listed sites around here such as Three Mills with the world’s largest surviving tidal mill and the Abbey Mills Pumping Station.

“The land presents an amazing opportunity to really regenerate it for the whole of the community. We are not saying the land owners should not be allowed to practise their faith, but it should not be at the expense of local residents.”

Kevin Fitzgerald, a retired sociology university lecturer, fears parking problems if the plan goes ahead, saying: “Most of the current worshippers come by car and the idea you can suddenly get most of them to come by public transport is at best naive.

“No more than the current 300 parking spaces are proposed despite the number of worshippers being multiplied by five. ”

There are also fears the decontamination of the land ahead of building works risk polluting the air and ground water.

Moira Storey, a 54-year-old academic manager said: “We need assurance from the planning authorities that an independent examination of the land is carried out and guarantees are in place to ensure the land will be properly cleaned and made safe before permission is given.”

Saudis to build major Islamic centre in Afghanistan

Saudi Arabia will build a massive Islamic centre complete with a university and a mosque in Afghanistan, an Afghan minister said Monday, describing the project as "grand and unique".


Estimated to cost up to $100 million, the centre on a hilltop in central Kabul will house up to 5,000 students, Dayi-Ul Haq Abed, the acting Hajj and religious affairs minister told AFP.

It will be named after Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the minister added.

"The agreement was signed last week in Jeddah. The construction will start next year, in couple of months or so," Abed said.


The mosque, similar to the Faisal Mosque in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad that was also built by oil-rich Saudi Arabia in 1980s, will hold 15,000 worshippers at a time.

The minister said the centre will be run jointly by the Saudi and Afghan ministries of religious affairs. Other universities in Afghanistan are run by the higher education ministry.


Saudi Arabia was one of only three countries -- along with Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates -- that recognised the hardline Islamist Taliban regime during its rule in Afghanistan from 1996-2001.

The Taliban were overthrown in a US-led invasion shortly after the 9/11 attacks on New York and Washington for harbouring Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, but have waged an 11-year insurgency.

The US and NATO still have more than 100,000 troops in Afghanistan supporting the government of President Hamid Karzai, but they are due to pull out all combat forces by the end of 2014.

MUSLIM extremists fighting to build a “mega-mosque” in East London are banning women from their own weddings.

Hardline separatists Tablighi Jamaat, dubbed an “antechamber of fundamentalism” by intelligence officials, insist on segregation between sexes.

Last night Dr Taj Hargey, imam of the Oxford Islamic Congregation and director of the Muslim Education Centre of Oxford, said: “The ceremony is normally a male-only affair where a male relative, usually a father or brother, signs on behalf of the woman and the service is conducted by a male priest, an imam, in front of male witnesses exclusively.

“We totally denounce this kind of sexism.”

Dr Jenny Taylor, of Lapido Media, a charity dedicated to ­raising awareness of religious ­affairs, branded the practice ­“medieval”.

She said: “Women are not allowed even to attend their own marriages. It is ludicrous to think this promotes social cohesion.

“When I visited the head- quarters in Delhi they were very nice to me but I was made to do my interview sitting with my back to the ­professor. This is where the international training is done. There were British Muslims present when I did my interview.

“We need to encourage people to integrate in the country they live in, otherwise you end up with enclaves of Western-phobia which generate suspicion and hatred.”

Earlier this month we revealed the Islamist group could be planning Britain’s first Sharia-controlled zone if plans to move their UK headquarters from Dewsbury, in West Yorkshire, to a site in ­Newham, east London, get the go-ahead.

Dr Taylor added: “Children are being brought up in places where contact with the mainstream is minimal. The Dewsbury HQ is now a Tablighi enclave.

“Masses of research has been done on this as a result of 7/7 but it seems to be almost ­completely ignored by ­government.

“Different norms start to ­prevail as is evidenced with this question of women’s marriage. Allowing a huge centre to be built in Newham that will churn out these values is appallingly irresponsible.

“This is a country where women died for freedom.

“Are we wanting to see the east of London become completely Islamic and split off from the mainstream country? It would be an absolute catastrophe.”

She added: “This is not diversity but apartheid.”

The religious writer and commentator was backed by Tehmina Kazi, the director of British Muslims for Secular Democracy and a former project ­officer at the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

She said: “Female members are kept ­secluded and the values surrounding their seclusion are transmitted to their children.”

Two of the July 7 bombers, Shehzad ­Tanweer and Mohammad Sidique Khan, plus failed shoe bomber Richard Reid, are believed to have prayed at the Tablighi HQ in Dewsbury.

Last night trustees of the Riverine centre, who run the TJ site in Newham, were ­unavailable for comment.

Galloway's Respect party to hold "large rally" in Croydon

GEORGE Galloway's Respect party is to hold a "large rally" in Croydon ahead of the Croydon North by-election, the Advertiser has been told.

Last week we revealed that Respect plans to take part in the by-election in the hope of repeating its remarkable success in Bradford West.

Today a party spokesman revealed a candidate had been selected and would be confirmed next week. This would then be followed by a rally next Sunday (October 28).

He declined to reveal the location of the rally or the identity of the nominee because it would "pre-empt the local party's decision".

Mr Galloway, who was expelled from the Labour Party in 2003 due to his outspoken opposition to the Iraq War, was reelected to Parliament in Bradford West in March.

After winning the seat - with a swing of 36.59 per cent against his former party - he famously declared his victory was a "Bradford Spring", in reference to the revolutions which swept across Arab countries and his targeting of the Muslim vote.

Respect believes it can make gains in Croydon North because of Mr Wicks' support of the Iraq War. Though its 2010 candidate Mohammed Shaikh won only 275 votes, compared to Mr Wicks' majority of 16,428, the party's profile has since increased significantly.

Muslim backers of West Ham’s ‘mega mosque’ outline development plans

The main complex measures 165 meters by 140 meters with a floor space of 20,000 square meters. That is almost the equivalent of three football pitches.

The mosque itself will be 20 meters high, 120 meters wide and 90 meters long, and it will feature two 55-metre minarets. 

Only 264 parking spaces. 

The mosque has been scaled back from holding 12,000 to 9,350 people, including a segregated space for nearly 2,000 women.

Muslim Persecution of Muslim Sects Comes to UK

Muslim immigration, it’s a wonderful thing. Before you know it there are curry shops, honor killings and minority Muslim sects seeking the protection of the authorities because Muslim immigration has recreated Pakistan right in Londonistan.

The community moved its headquarters to the UK in the 1980s after the Pakistani government passed a law forbidding Ahmadis from calling themselves Muslims and curbing their religious practices.
They were also hounded in Pakistan by Islamic groups that have set up UK satellite offices and are doing the same here. A leaflet distributed in Wandsworth, south-west London, this year, attributed to a group called Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuze Khatme Nubuwwat, states: “Qadianis [a pejorative term for Ahmadis] are apostate (‘Murtad’) … He should be given the punishment of a Murtad which is capital punishment.” It later makes clear: “Individuals cannot and should not administer this punishment.”

Groups however may be another matter. But we aren’t allowed to call this kind of thing savagery. Nothing savage about it at all.
This is why Muslims don’t go together with multiculturalism. When your religion can’t even get along with other versions of itself, then it really cannot hope to peacefully coexist with other religion. It just doesn’t work.
The Ahmadis fled to the UK and now that the UK has enough Muslims, they’ll have to flee the UK and eventually so will everyone who isn’t a Muslim. It’s insane for this process to keep repeating itself with no one turning out to be the wiser.
Multiculturalism with Muslims does not mean a happy community of people from different backgrounds. It means Sunnis and Shiites fighting among themselves. It means Muslims persecuting Ahmadis, bombing Jewish supermarkets, and kidnapping Sikh, Hindu and Christian girls. It recreates the same conditions that everyone who isn’t a Muslim and some who are tried to escape. And it does it in formerly civilized countries.

Last month, three Ahmadis were reportedly shot dead in 10 days in Karachi in suspected hate crimes. The most notorious attack against Ahmadis came in 2010 when co-ordinated assaults on two Lahore mosques killed scores of people. Din warned: “It’s only a matter of time until an atrocity is carried out against someone in our community here.”

No savagery to see here.

Abu Qatada appeal hearing begins

A panel of judges will begin hearing an appeal by Abu Qatada to be freed while he fights extradition to Jordan. The radical cleric has been sentenced in his absence to life imprisonment with hard labour for conspiracy to carry out terror attacks.

Four have already served custodial sentences while the fifth is awaiting sentence for an armed robbery.

Abu Hamza, who is fighting extradition to the U.S., has nine children from two marriages, including a stepson with his second wife.

Of the seven sons, who are all over 18, only two have not been in trouble with the law. The two youngest children are daughters aged 16 and 13.

The preacher was married in 1980 to Valerie Traverso, a British woman, and divorced four years later after having one son, Mohammed.

Hamza has seven children with his second wife, Najat, and a stepson, Mohssin Ghailan, who was born to Najat before she married him.

Mohammed and Ghailan were jailed in Yemen in 1999, when Mohammed was 17, for plotting bomb attacks on tourist and economic targets. They returned to Britain after serving jail terms of three years and seven years respectively.

The two were arrested again in 2008 with their brother Hamza, then aged 22. 

 

They were accused of operating a £1million car scam in which they fraudulently obtained documents for luxury cars and either sold them or used them as collateral for loans that were never repaid.

Ghailan, from Shepherd's Bush, west London, was described as a 'key player' in the fraud. He was jailed for four years. Hamza and Mohammed were also jailed.

Their younger brother, Yasser, admitted burglary in 2008 when he stole a laptop. He was given 120 hours' community service. He was then sent to a young offenders institution for 12 months in 2010 for attacking a policeman during protests outside the Israeli embassy in London.

In August this year Abu Hamza's 20-year-old son, Imran, was convicted of a £75,000 armed robbery at a jeweller's shop in King's Lynn, Norfolk. He is due to be sentenced in November.

His two other sons have not been in trouble with the law.

Uthman, 24, is an imam in Acton, west London; his younger brother Sufyan, 18, was named on a poster as attending a charity rally for Syria in February alongside Haithem al-Haddad, a radical preacher.

Uthman recited a prayer outside the American embassy last year during a demonstration in support of Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist who was arrested in Afghanistan on suspicion of links to Al-Qaeda and jailed in the US for 86 years.

Uthman is becoming a well known figure in the west London Muslim community, mainly through his recitals of religious texts which have been described as 'beautiful'.

Donna Traverso, the daughter of Valerie Traverso, told The Times in 2006 that her early memories of Abu Hamza were of a loving stepfather until he turned to fundamentalism.
When her stepbrother Mohammed was three years old, Abu Hamza took him to Egypt to visit family members. Neither she nor her mother saw him again for 16 years.

'He left me without saying goodbye, destroyed my family and told his own son that his mother was dead,' Donna Traverso said.

Mohammed has said he does not agree with his father's radical preaching and is proud to be British. However, when he formed a rap duo, Lionz of Da Dezert, his lyrics praised Hezbollah and Hamas, the armed wings of which are both classified by Britain as terrorist organisations.

The family has also attracted controversy for its cost to Britain. The TaxPayers' Alliance has estimated that Abu Hamza has cost the taxpayer £2.75m in welfare, housing and legal benefits.

At one time, the family was living in a £600,000 five-bedroom council house in Shepherd's Bush and claiming £680 a week in benefits.

Inayat Bunglawala, of the Muslims4UK group, told The Sunday Times: 'It is sad to see that some of Abu Hamza's children have been convicted of criminal acts.

'It is an extremely poor legacy... one can only hope his children at least may be able to shake off the negative influences and begin to rebuild their lives.'

World Silent as Saudi Arabia Works to 'Destroy' Churches

 

Over the past decade, Saudi Arabia has been the largest source of donations from Islamic states and royal families to British universities, much of which is devoted to the study of Islam, the Middle East and Arabic literature.

A large share of this money went toward establishing Islamic study centers. In 2008, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal donated £8 million (SR 48.5 million) each to Cambridge and Edinburgh for this purpose, Al-Eqtisadiah business daily reported yesterday.

Oxford has been the largest British beneficiary of Saudi support. In 2005, Prince Sultan, the late crown prince, gave £2 million (SR 12 million) to the Ashmolean Museum. In 2001, the King Abdul Aziz Foundation gave £1 million (SR 6.1 million) to the Middle East Center.

There are many other donors. Oxford’s £75 million (SR 454.6 million) Islamic Studies Center was supported by 12 Muslim countries. Ruler of Oman, Sultan Qaboos bin Said, gave £3.1 million (SR 18.8 million) to Cambridge to fund two posts, including a chair of Arabic.

Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi, has supported Exeter’s Islamic studies center with more than £5 million (SR 30 million) since 2001. Trinity Saint David, part of the University of Wales, has received donations from the ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

While Islamic studies are the most popular target for donors, support is certainly not restricted to the subject. The Saïd Business School at Oxford University was set up by Wafic Said, a Syrian-Saudi businessman, with a £23 million (SR 139.4 million) initial donation.
Donations are not the only financial links to the Gulf. According to the Observatory for Borderless Higher Education, of the 200 branch campuses opened by universities around the world, 37 are in the UAE and 10 are in Qatar.

University College London has an archaeology campus in Qatar. Bolton, Heriot-Watt, the London Business School, Manchester Business School, Cass Business School and Middlesex have bases in Dubai or neighboring Ras Al-Khaimah, the newspaper said quoting the Financial Times.

These satellite campuses have two purposes: for countries that need to expand their higher education rapidly, it allows them to build capacity. For the university – if they can make them work – it allows them to tap potentially lucrative markets.

Danish Leftists Attack Family Celebration By Mistake: "We Fot Dey Wuz Fascists"

On Saturday the Danish nationalist group Vederfølner held its annual summer party and football cup in Aarhus. It was a great success and ended with a feast of roast suckling pig. (Good to know pork is still being eaten somewhere in Europe!)

Some Antifa zombies came on an expedition to try and disrupt the gathering. Unfortunately, they didn't know their way around the area. So, like total fools, they stumbled around blindly till they found a building they knew had been used for Vederfølner gatherings in the past. Hearing the sound of festivities inside, they assumed they'd found their target and commenced their attack. The results can be seen in the photographs. Unfortunately, these clowns had picked the wrong building and were attacking an innocent family gathering, probably a wedding.
