A British woman is in a serious condition after jumping from her hotel balcony to escape a sex assault.
The 25-year-old woman is believed to have leapt from the first floor of the hotel, in Agra, India, after a man forced his way into her room.
She suffered head injuries and broke both legs in the fall and is believed to be in a serious condition in hospital.
Her alleged attacker has reportedly been identified as the hotel owner and has been arrested.
The news comes just days after a Swiss woman was gang-raped by six men while cycling through Madhya Pradesh with her husband..
