A CHARITY which helped nearly 250 victims of forced
marriages in Hounslow last year is visiting schools to raise awareness
of the issue.
JAN Trust has taken workshops about the 'inhumane
act' to secondary schools and colleges across the borough, and plans to
organise more in coming weeks.
The visits are part of the charity's campaign
'Mujboor' - which translates as 'forced' in Urdu - to educate people
about forced marriages and encourage victims to come forward.
