The Rotherham Mosque Trust has applied for planning
permission to build the mosque which will be twice the size of the
current place of worship.
The planned building, next to Centenary Way, would have a minaret 33.8 metres tall and facilities to display calls to prayer and other messages on electronic screens which would be placed around the tower.
The plans, which have taken two years to complete, also include an IT suite and study area and car park improvements.
