FURY AT UK ‘SOFT JUSTICE’

BRITAIN’S justice system was blasted yesterday after it emerged 91,000 serious repeat offenders avoided jail last year.

The total, more than the UK’s prison population, is made up of thugs, thieves and sex offenders.

But they got off with fines, community service or suspended sentences after a 40% rise in “slap-wrist” justice in five years.

“Fines, community service and suspended sentences leave criminals free to commit more crimes. They should be reserved for minor offenders.
