World Cup 1966 hero will make way for tribute to Cllr Muhammed Butt
The leader of Brent Council will submit a planning application calling for the iconic statue of Bobby Moore at Wembley Stadium to be replaced with a gold replica of himself.
In an exclusive interview with the Brent and Kilburn Times Cllr Muhammed Butt said the England football legend is “yesterday’s man” and now was the time to embrace the Brent of today.
The statue will be around 20 foot tall and will depict him clasping the Brent Council logo in one hand and a king’s sceptre in the other.
