Terrorists win fight to cut prison terms

THREE Stoke-on-Trent terrorists who were part of a plot to blow up the London Stock Exchange have had their jail terms cut after lodging appeals.

Usman Khan, Nazam Hussain and Mohibur Rahman took their legal fights to London's Court of Appeal after complaining their jail terms were too long.

Khan, aged 22, of Persia Walk, Tunstall, and 27-year-old Hussain, of Grove Street, Cobridge, were jailed indefinitely for public protection last year after admitting engaging in conduct in preparation for acts of terrorism between November 1 and December 20, 2010.

Co-accused Rahman, aged 28, of North Road, Cobridge, was jailed for five years after admitting having two editions of an al-Qaeda-magazine that had inspired them all.
